Steven G. Humphries, Principal
Steven G. Humphries, native of Columbus, Mississippi, joined MycroSchool Pinellas in its opening year in 2012. Stevan was originally hired as a Creative Technology/Senior Projects Teacher and was promoted to be the school’s Guidance Counselor/ Career Specialist and has served faithfully in this capacity from 2012-2015. Leadership qualities began to emerge under Principal Mrs. Martina Green and for the 2015-2016, Stevan was promoted to Assistant Principalunder Principal Michael C. Warren, and now serves as the 2016-2017 Principal for Pinellas Mycroschool. Stevan also serves as the school’s Site Technician. Stevan loves working with staff and students to continue to bring forth the school’s mission and vision to light. Stevan was also awarded Mycroschool Pinellas’s “Employee of the Year” award for the 2013-2014 school term.
Educational background includes a high school diploma from Columbus High School, Columbus, MS; a B.S. in Communication with a Minor in Psychology from Mississippi University for Women (MUW) in Columbus, MS; a Master of Information Systems (MIS) degree from University of Phoenix; a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree from MUW-Columbus, MS; and a 2014 graduate of Jacksonville State University (Jacksonville, AL) with an Educational Specialist (Ed.S) degree in Teacher Leadership. Stevan plans to pursue his Ph.D in Educational Leadership in the Spring of 2016.
Professionally, Stevan’s educational career began as a College Instructor teaching MIS courses at East Mississippi Community College-CAFB, in Columbus, MS. Then he began teaching Social Studies, Theater Arts, and Public Speaking at Columbus High School in Columbus, MS, before moving to Florida joining Pinellas Mycroschool.
Mrs. Traci Steen, Board President
Traci Steen is a local attorney primarily focused in the areas of real estate transactions, title insurance and settlement services, and estate planning practice. She is a member of Attorneys Title Fund Services as title agent, the Florida Bar and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section (RPPTL). She graduated from Stetson College of Law in 2000 and spent most of her career working in the public sector at St. Petersburg College and State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota as acquisitions and construction attorney and lobbyist. In 2013, she entered private industry employed as Development Counsel by The Edwards Group and was the primary attorney for commercial leasing and construction
contract development and management for Sundial. Prior to opening her own law practice Mrs. Steen was president of Luxe Title Services and Smith and Associates Title.
Traci’s passion is education and she has been the president of the Board of Directors for MYcroSchool Pinellas (non-for-profit, public, dropout recovery charter high school) since 2012. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Morean Arts Center.
